White Mountains New Hampshire

The amount of activities in this area in all four seasons of the year– boggles the mind. In winter season, of course, a number of ski areas– Attitash, Bretton Woods, Waterville Valley, Wildcat, Cannon, Loon– provide downhill and cross-country snowboarding in addition to snowboarding, snow tubing, and surface parks. The other seasons of the year, too, are abundant with activities in the mountains, particularly for households and children.

The White Mountains are a range of mountains covering about a quarter of the state of New Hampshire and a small portion of western Maine in the United States. They become part of the northern Appalachian Mountains and the most rugged mountains in New England. The variety is heavily visited due to its distance to Boston and, to a lower level, New york city City and Montreal.

Most of the location is public land, consisting of the White Mountain National Forest and a variety of state parks. Its most well-known mountain is 6,288-foot (1,917 m) Mount Washington, which is the highest peak in the Northeastern U.S. and for 76 years held the record for fastest surface wind gust on the planet (231 miles per hour (372 km/h) in 1934). Mount Washington is part of a line of summits, the Presidential Range, that are called after U.S. presidents and other prominent Americans.

North Conway is a center of outlet shopping in this tax-free state. At the end of the day it is easy to discover a variety of lodgings like lodges, motels, hotels and campgrounds and take pleasure in great food at one of numerous restaurants here in the White Mountains.
